By seeing your latest work posted, I take it that your move is completed. Hopefully, it was not too taxing.

Your photograph is another demonstration of how nature provides the best eye candy. Thanks to the soft background, the flowers in the foreground have an ephemeral quality, almost dreamlike.

Beautiful . . .

The colours and gentle softness in this image generates a wonderful feeling of intimacy with nature. I think you chose the treatment well Gail. It works well.

Glad to see you back at the computer. Hopefully you don't have to climb over too many boxes to get to it!!

My compliments on a beautiful image Gail

All my best, Bill

Thank you both so much for your generous comments and concern re moving...still heaving boxes........but my sanity was at the BRINK!!!! so I thought a little editing might relieve my 'troubled mind'.....

It all takes time....this 'moving thingy'.....and I tend to 'overwork' and 'overextend' myself.....a recognizable trait...yet I haven't conquered that demon. I have this 'artsy fartsy' thing about me and want everything looking like 'home' faster than truly needed. I swear I'll need new 'knees, legs and arms before I'm done.

So I figured 'edit a bit'............and it truly soothes the 'beast' at my heals. This one I know I can do better on.....but that to will have to come 'in due time'.....thankyou both again for your support and concern. Such good friends, you both are. I'll get to my other responses to you soon I hope....sincerely, 'still living out of a 'box'........Gail

Just a thought. There is a hard deadline for moving out, but for moving in there is more of a comfort level and sorting out the room arrangements usually takes some living time. Take it easy it will be a home by Christmas!

If you do try to do better with this image, don't lose the beautiful pastel softness, it draws you into a beautiful feeling.

All the best in your new home Gail.

You are so right.......I guess I am just sick of seeing boxes....I want to 'host' Christmas this year.....my Mom and Dad always do it, and it would be a treat for them to just sit back and not do most of the work..(they are always so well prepared)

re image.........I love the pastel colors that are in this one....actually nearly all of it...I edited it in Elements but in the 'Raw Format' but couldn't quite get my White Balance right. The white flower petals should be much whiter.

But this little sprig is so tiny and graceful.............I don't know why, but it gives me a sense of 'peace' just looking at it.......Thankyou Bill for being not only a very wise person of advice........but a good friend....your thoughtfulness can be read in your words.......you are a 'rare breed'.............back 'atcha' later, Gail

Love the pastel colors and the branch placed diagonally in the frame. BG is nicely blurred to enhance to flowering branch.

IMHO I would love to crop out the right vertical branch to me thats a distraction. I am also thinking that cloning out the pink color in lower BG and the buds sticking out from the lower border will enhance the picture.

Thankyou for your thoughtful and considerate comments...I agree, those lower buds could go, I thought of elimating the right stem.......the pink areas would be a bit tricky for me at my 'level of expertise' but can always give it a try...tnks so much for your suggestions....sincerely, Gail

This image seems to be full of contrasts, like the clarity of the main subject against the more subtle pastel tones of the background, the vibrant life of the flower, as opposed to its withered counterparts on the same stem. There may be some that would crop or clone parts of the image out, personally I think the natural presentation just adds to its charm.

So much more than just another flower photo! I like it a lot !

Kind Regards
