Title and composition fit so well,I like tone colors too,regards Radu.

One moment, you are awash with it, your cups overflowing. But, alas, it

is only a momentary illusion, for as the tide brought the deluge, so will it

retreat with it in like fashion to the sea, leaving behind but a trace of that

tease, and with it, the carcass of the fool who made his plans based on

this fickle bounty.

We do not move; we but roll down the mountain, like dis-balanced boulders, crushing before us many springing things whose plan it was to grow.

 

Don't know if I've topped your cheery note, but I like the image -- the sea and the sky work very well together. Not sure if I'm crazy about the "granulation" in the clouds, but it does fit the mood of your title and probably your overall goal better.

What's that saying again? A picture speaks a 1000 words. 'Nuff said.

As Stephen said, sky and foreground fit well together. Monochrome and toning is a good choice to convey the mood you describe. Maybe I would have preferred a centered horizon in this case, not sure.
