Rob,

Please tell me she is going to send this to her boyfriend who is serving in Afghanistan and not give it to her father on Father's Day.

She is a cutie patootie and you have focused quite well on her eyes. She has good catch lights and very nice eye contact with the camera (viewer). I love her pretty blonde hair and cute smile. Her skin tone is excellent. You have a nice neutral background and she is well separated from it.

I do have a couple of suggestions to improve the picture -- now that I have stopped looking at the beautiful girl.

She has a hot spot on her left breast (funny that I should notice that first). You want to compositionally balance the left and right sides of the photograph. The compositional "rule" for this suggests that you position the tip of the subject's nose in the vertical center of the photograph. You want her to be facing into the photograph, not out of it.

She obviously has a very nice figure, but I wouldn't pose your subject straight on to the camera. This is not a very feminine pose. Showing your subject’s widest areas (shoulder to shoulder or hip to hip) makes those areas appear wide. Your subject will appear thinner, more feminine (if possible) and more graceful if turned at an angle to the camera. The lines you see from an angle have more apparent motion, interest and grace. The waistline will appear thinner if turned to the shadow side of the frame. You do not want to have your subject turned 90 degrees to the camera. This makes the head look unsupported. It usually looks best to angle your subject somewhere around 45 degrees.

The flag and cowboy hat are a bit (maybe a lot) corny and draw attention away from her face. If I was going to use a flag as a prop I would put the stars on her right.

She has some discoloration in the whites of her eyes. Be careful of cutting into her far eye with the bridge of her nose.

I like her french manicure.

Your name (logo) is not part of the photograph. An appropriate location for your name and perhaps the date would be on the mat.

Nice shot,

Mark

I would like to thank you for your detailed contribution in critiquing this image.

I actually attended a Glamour tutorial day I chose the pose, even though she thought different, so I'm wrong and both of you are right LOL.

I just liked the way she turned her head and thought that looks good. Obviously I need to still learn more, and I have got that from you, thank you so much.

What have I done to the image removed a few moles and slightly sharpened it. removed a hot spot from her left bikin top that shows on her right, but due to the fabric being shiny its going to have this effect.

Many thanks once again

Kind regards

Rob
