LenMarriott 9 Posted October 16, 2009 I'm stuck with a couple of Minolta film cameras and a bag of lenses and no market for them. What's a fellow to do? So, I use them! They seem to satisfy the photographic urges within me. Thanks for popping by. Best, LM. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 16, 2009 Has to be seen large! It reminds me "Island in the stream"....beautifu frisky light on the water, and the triangled sky are adding tension to the whole,. I feel the wind blowing on the waves, and the sky are really showing the forth coming storm. well used your films...;-)) Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted October 16, 2009 OK, the stream's a bit wide here and we were on a tour boat, but I agree with your assessment of the song title describing this scene. There were many such scenes on the 2 1\2 hr trip. And there was indeed a brisk breeze blowing. I felt that the skies demanded a super wide lens and the result is reassuring. Your input is always most welcome. Thanks for taking the time. Best, LM. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted October 17, 2009 Len, superb shot. Composition, exposure, light and drama in the sky is well-captured in your not so obsolete camera. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted October 17, 2009 The result is pleasing to me also. The drama of the oncoming clouds was uppermost in my mind at the time. The composition, taken from the deck of a moving tour boat, changed rapidly & caused somewhat of a surprise factor for the final result. Luck is good! I've toyed with the thought of cropping out about half the foreground water. Any thoughts on that? Best, LM. Link to comment

valphotography 0 Posted December 5, 2009 Stunning photo, almost panorama! Great shot! With respect, Valentyn Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted December 6, 2009 Thanks for your thoughts. A bit was cropped from the bottom (too much water) and thus the pano look. Should have given more attention to the sky area. Live & learn! Best, LM. Link to comment
