This is very nice, Liz. I never thought about trying to treat the woods like this--and with a stream, too (although I do get crazy once in a while and do something like this: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=9884242&size=lg).

Lannie, I could not open the link you sent. I was after something different with this scene, but I do love swamps and trees however they come out.

Nice artwork. Should be hanging on a wall.

Very nice and unusual natural scene. the brown weeds are playing like a backdrop to the green leaves. l likeas well the nice curtain feeling....;-)) beautiful color palette, texture , reflection. and composition.

Most of the digital alterations I see leave me cold. I think this is because they are often heavy handed and done without much intention. This image seems the antitheses of my above statement. The manipulation feels purposeful and focused in its rendering. It is still very much a photo of a swamp ( I love swamps BTW ) but now it is a mystical enchanted swamp. Terrific composition I love how you have brought out the arching branches and leaves as the perfect foil for all those upright and buttressed trunks.
