j_sevigny 0 Posted October 12, 2009 I love everything about this photograph, from the light on her face and that piece of wood, to the water reflections in the background, to the limes created by the piece of material on the right, which create a sort of "pie slice" that draws my eyes to her face. Perfect focus on the eyes. Perfect depth of field. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted October 12, 2009 TQ Pnina, J, I thought this close-up was a better composition then the other wider photo too. The last evening light fell just right for the shot. Didn't even have to move her. ^_^ Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted October 17, 2009 Beautiful, but very, very sad. The weathered board adds considerably to the atmosphere, as if she is hanging onto something solid. Link to comment

Christal1664882414 0 Posted October 19, 2009 Outstanding and very moving image! Those eyes reveal a young girl who seems to have a maturity beyond her years.......or at the very least a profound understanding of her plight. ...A gorgeous girl and spectacular light, but it's the emotional content that I'm most impressed by. Bravo! Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted October 20, 2009 Alec, very good portrait. Her countenance is tinged with melancholy and makes me feel for her. Very good composition, exposure and light. Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted November 30, 2009 The hurt and despair are so well captured, especially in her eyes...so said this child....while it is an excellent photograph......it is so excellent, I could weep for her. I can't imagine how these young children coope with such 'life experiences'. You've captured her 'soul' here Alec...........Beautiful in its' technicality....sincerely, Gail Link to comment
