leo burkey 0 Posted October 10, 2009 Parts of this sky were seven stops brighter than the foreground, so you can be sure this wasn't a one exposure photograph. It is in fact part HDR, and part blending of two other exposures.Other than that it only received some contrast change and some burning and dodging. Link to comment

rbanfield 0 Posted October 11, 2009 Beautifully stunning in its simplicity. The light rays remind me of Ansel's print of the Grand Tetons. Wonderful dynamics going on here with the broad range of tonal ranges. This is a woooo, woooo, woooo and an attaboy thrown in!!...Lefty Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted October 11, 2009 Lordy, Lordy!! This is magnificent! Pure heaven....literally and figuratively! I love the contrast between the warm rays and the cool front dunes. Nice job blending the two. Into my favorites this goes! Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted October 29, 2009 Pretty spectacular Leo! I have tried to tackle these rangy scenes and they are not easy. You did good. The darkest clouds could go a stop lighter, but I know that will introduce noise. This is beautiful in color, but no doubt would make a juicy b&w as well! Link to comment
leo burkey 0 Posted November 6, 2009 I didn't think it in the beginning but I think you are correct about the darker rays being a bit lighter. I am going to replace this image with the lighter version. Thanks for your suggestion Mark. Link to comment
