gsphotoguy 3 Posted October 22, 2009 At the studio housing the shooting workshops I attend, they put together various sets each time. This one is by a window providing very nice natural light through a sheer curtain. Link to comment
antoniobassiphotography 0 Posted October 23, 2009 Beautiful pose, intense expression from the model. I love the B&W tones, especially the whites of the skin. Best regards Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted October 24, 2009 I think there is a little too much light to the left and I would prefer the background (painting) to show more contrast. That said, this image does have a lot of charm. Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted October 24, 2009 Thank you all for the kind comments. David - I understand what you mean about the left side. That is the side nearest the window and so would be brighter. There is also an issue with my film scanner. I might replace this with a scan from the print I made this afternoon, which is much better. Link to comment
antoniobassiphotography 0 Posted October 26, 2009 This is film... that's where all the charm comes from...! I would definitely burn the body area an extra few seconds, just to get a bit more detail out, and leave the contrast as is (of course, fixing the problem with the light to the left). The visage definitely needs a bit of extra time. Best regards Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted October 26, 2009 Antonio - Thank you for the suggestions. I did print the negative yesterday during a darkroom session. It is much more even and has a greater tonal range. I'll have to try scanning the print and see if that is better. - Mark Link to comment
