stacey_waselovich 0 Posted September 3, 2002 I love the hands and feet and the way the water is beaded up - did you use oil? The shiny dark floor is great too. I just had to stop and look closer - then - is that his butt in the background?? It looks like he's sitting with his knees folded up and has a zit on his butt. Please - say it isn't so! mclaine 0 Posted September 4, 2002 The tonal range is fine, but the pose looks a little strained with the wrists crossed over. Link to comment
alexo 9 Posted September 4, 2002 I agree with John McLaine. This shot doesn't quite make it. It seems a bit too contrived and it's a bit too busy compositionally. The viewer's eye doesn't quite know on what to focus. I think it has potential that needs to be explored further. Link to comment
martin_taylor 0 Posted September 4, 2002 This is just my idea, take it or leave it; crop in much tighter. This will make the shot more abstract and may address the previous comments about the unnatural pose (and the butt comment). I don't know how you are inclined towards photoshop but I would be tempted to dodge the vertical edges of the picture a bit to focus the eye even more directly on the hands and away from the background which is a little bright. Nice idea and execution though. Regards - Martin Link to comment
andre_napier 0 Posted September 7, 2002 Thanks a lot but NO THANKS, I will stick with the original crop. Link to comment

carl_williams 0 Posted November 21, 2002 I like this shot. Personally, I don't find it that unnatural a pose - I can imagine sitting tensly at the side of a pool crouched in more or less that way - and I like the lighting and the water. The highlight on the left arm looks a bit blown out, if I have to nitpick. Nice photo. Link to comment

andre_napier 0 Posted September 3, 2003 I used a total of six modeling lights on a idividually controled down to zero watts dimmer.Main light was position 45 degree to the right and about 30 degree below the feet stand level. Accent light were surrounding the model just to balance the shadows.. Link to comment
philippe_reverchon 0 Posted October 18, 2003 Yes! at least a photographer thinking that human feet are lovely and photogenic ! Very nice photo ! Link to comment
nacivet 0 Posted April 6, 2004 Why so many people want to crop pictures, maybe they don't see what the photographer saw, the two diagonals leading to the subject are essential to the graphism of this picture,At least it's my opinionOtherwise croping for croping maybe one toe is enough (the small one of course)Witch one? I don't know. Link to comment

pernilla_esbjornsson 0 Posted June 18, 2004 both crops work for me. the tighter one accentuates the hands and make them look stronger. it looks like a picture of a dancer Link to comment
kellen1 0 Posted October 17, 2006 The color and moisture remind me of wet clay, This photo is original & elegant. Link to comment
