I like this version (tighter crop and softer light) better than the POW version of 2009-08-17. It is unlikely that I will see a more interesting and original portrait of a child in 2009.

Very Nice... Excellent Work..

This portraits intrigues me so already with that you have succeeded in creating something special. This young girl has become two by the game of light and shadows you have imposed on her right side of the face. If one looks at the left side we have a portrait of a young girl that transmits maturity and reflection. Her right side on the contrary, because of the shadow of the iron fence and maybe not least the iron structure to the left of her face, is however violent and with a hint of mockery in her eyes. Very interesting and very, very well made.

Does she like it or is she frightened of the image of herself?

This is Gorgeous...Everyone will probably think I am crazy but what came to my mind right off the bat is...'Beautiful Girl morphs into Spider Girl'. I absolutely love how the chain link fence shadowed her face perfectly and perfectly blends into the other side of her face as if she is wearing a half-face mask, kinda like...Half Spider Girl morphing back to her normal self. I love the touch of chain link on her shoulder as well.

Portrait work at it's best. Edgy, but soulful, it has that something that's so hard to define and capture. Lover her eyes, almost defiant or maybe the beginning of knowledge ...of Eve.
