Learning how to scan decently, thought this is a photo to start with.

Looks like a graduation in Hawaii--doctoral regalia combined with a lei! But I'm guessing. The shot should have some background or extended foreground so we can tell better where we are and what is happening. Most shots fail for taking in too much, but this one takes in too little.

Well, she's from Oahu, but graduated in Denver from law school. I kind of like the out of focus areas, but given a more scenic setting would merit more DOF. Thanks.
