light and dark

Yet another daisy. Hope it doesn't get boring ;-)

let me start by saying 10 out of 10 for creativity. i am so enjoying following your exploration of this wee simple flower. i earn my crust mostly by figuring out if a flower image is marketable or not. have done enough of it now where usually a quick glance is all i need.

the negative about marketing images is you sometimes get jaded or worse yet tunnel vision. because an image is not necessarily marketable does not mean it is any less desirable, in fact it can be quite the contrary.

i have not taken a flower image now for 4 months. here where i live it is now spring. our garden is like a fairy land, our creek all the way to the sea is full of arum lilies, my favorite flower to work with.

at the moment i walk through the garden and see all the beauty and i compose a few compositions in my mind but the cameras just stay in the bag. guess am just flat. anyway i come to photo.net and am lucky as i find people like you who are on explorations. i just sort of jump on for the ride.

to me, in just about any field, there are times when you're in the zone, and that is the time when your most creative work is produced. if the light is right when you're in that zone that is the time the really, really special images are produced. i rabble on too much at times, have a look at where i call home www.ngaiobay.co.nz

on this flower behind the three front petals i see a hint of orange, which really opens up the imagination. your composition is refreshing. its like one more step on the journey of the daisy.

so looking forward to the next step !

how can a flower be boring ??? love the glow and the position . the orange color in the middle looks a little odd , like someone was eating Cheetos and toucghed the screen . I like it otherwise .

Roger- thanks! I have a lot of fun just exploring and doing all kinds of weird things. Sometimes, it even results in something reasonable. And that is where I do value your feedback really much!

Anyway, I'm missing new images by you! Why don't you just try to take your camera and shoot 'for yourself', without thinking of marketing or anyone elses opinion?

Your home looks like a heavenly place. If I shall ever travel to New Zealand, I'll pay you a visit!
