rbanfield 0 Posted September 30, 2009 That bears repeating Amigo. Oh Wow! This is way too cool. You got the lights and those nasty darks of the clouds. Beautiful shadow play on the sand and picked up some great texture to boot. Sides that I would say woooo.woooo.wooo and lets add an attaboy to boot!!...Lefty Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted September 30, 2009 Wow, Leo, you have successfully captured Virga! I love the intensity of the storm clouds contrasting with the soft sands. I do think the sharpening has crunchied the dunes a little, but it is very full of detail, so I am sure the native res almost reveals each grain. You nailed a good day for an epic sky! Christal1664882414 0 Posted September 30, 2009 Well, it certainly looks like the Gods were kind to you on this trip. What a sky! And you've beautifully captured this scene. I love the slight diagonal created by the front ridge of sand, and the softness contrasted with the streaming rain clouds is really magnificent. On my monitor the ridges in the sand in front look a little too pronounced, as Mark commented, but maybe the shadows were such that you really saw it that way. Great work, Leo! Link to comment
leo burkey 0 Posted September 30, 2009 Just before sunset a thunder storm was brewing near the mountains withgreat displays of lightning which I unfortunately never captured.Nonetheless I was treated to some very dramatic clouds. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted September 30, 2009 I really like how the black and white in the clouds repeats on the sand dunes. Great experience and a great photo. Link to comment

hank 0 Posted October 2, 2009 Talk about being at the right place at the right time, and having a camera in hand to boot! Very fortunate and nice. The ripples in the water are almost unreal, like a painting oops. Link to comment
