10 blocks away, singing to traffic - happy as a clam.

It's amazing how many homeless people seem to be happy, although this guy is probably not homeless. I guess they don't have money to lose in theit 401K, have to work 10 hours a day in a high stress job, etc. But they do have to worry about where they will get their next meal, how to get help for their tooth ache, medicine for their heart disease, etc. I have talked to many homeless people, and they do have some pretty excrutiating circumstances. They are true survivers.

liz, in this portrait you dont forget to respect andd show the dignity of that man. unfortunately, this is rare. you shooted is eyes, what he is traying do obtain, not his condition. brava, liz.

Great documentary photo. Your photo tells a story and you can nearly touch the despair from the man. Your b/w version works fine and the light has created some sort of aura around the poor mans hair. Very symbolic and also very sad. Take good care Liz and all the best from Jannica
