Hawk

LenMarriott

Hand held @ about f4 & 1\15 sec. Camera on Auto mode. Surprised that it's as sharp as it is. Heard the shutter go 'ca-click' & thought "not good, wasted shot". Kodak 200 (cheap version, not Gold)

Beautiful composition.Razor sharped.Color saturation is good too. In other words,

this is a surreal capture. It's nice also to tagged the camera you were using as you did on your posting.

It's very true on that comments you did to one of my El Morro posting. On location,

you are just under the mercy of nature unless you packed all your photographing

gears.Me? I travel light now a days.

Much appreciated your comments.Kind regards.

Thanks for your kind review. "The Beak?" Yes! That's the part that'll get you while your eye is on his very substantial talons. :-) Beautiful to see close up. Hypnotic eyes! Of course, that usually means he's in captivity. The upside to that sad state is that he is loved, fed, and well cared for. He helps to educate us about birds of prey, and, I get to take pictures of him. Best, LM.

Oops! Almost missed you there. I am most pleased with this one though it lacks CRITICAL sharpness. A pleasant surprise. The sharpness apparent at web size falls apart when I try to enlarge. When I snapped this one I could tell the low light levels had forced the shutter speed down below what I would normally need for a sharp photo. So, I only took the one as I was sure the low light levels would not allow decent photos. Luck is good! Always a pleasure to hear from you. Best, LM.

How would YOU improve this one post exposure? I know what I would do

differently pre-exposure. (Higher shutter speed & therefore higher

ISO). Best, LM
