Joanie, Carey - thanks for your comments! I placed the focus on the front of the petals that show towards the image 'surface', but I guess that this results in a far too shallow focus region. Now I've got something new to try out.

this is the third or fourth time have opened this image up, just am not sure on this one. also not sure if a more expansive focal point would work. it possibly might but then it could also change the mood of image, which i do really like. the strength of this image is the dream world center and bottom of image. also like the different shades of green. the flower does not compliment the rest of image or perhaps should say for me it does not. at least i know for you to work on this you don't have far to go. stay well........roger

Roger, after giving it some thought I completely agree with you- the flower just doesn't fit in, it feels alien. Guess that's what missing here- the link between the flower and the rest. I somehow just didn't see it myself. Thanks! :-)

All the best to you, Stanislav

stanislva, i don't think it is align, it just isn't a significant enough. the intent is bold and very clear. nevertheless, it is commendable.

i agree with the comments about a clearer focus on the flower. i also think including more of the central yellow part of the flower would add more contrast & colour to the shot.

Kat- thanks for the feedback!

Dror- thanks for the comment! What I meant by 'alien' is that there is a lack of connection, be it composition-wise through leading lines or colo-wise to the rest. Guess the green grass line just isn't enough. Some time, I will certainly try to play around with this kind of composition.
