This was made in the high plateau of northwestern North Carolina, inthe headwaters of the New River that finally flows through Virginiaand West Virginia into the Ohio River--a long, long way downhill, ofcourse. Please let me have your thoughts.

Lannie,

I bet this place was beautiful in its day. I really don't know which I like best the b/w or color. They both are great image's. Well done. Regards, Patsy

Lannie, I've studied all the various images on this place, and I'm settled on this one. To me, the BWs seem stark and lonely. This one gives me a feeling that this was once a viable and important spot for many people. I enjoy the study; I enjoy the mood and I really appreciate all the work you put in to "change things around", when I really like the first one best.

Lannie:  I like this one the best.  The cross lighting creating the highlights and shadows and flowers and overall coloring just make it more attractive than the others. Best.  Alan.
