stp 6 Posted September 26, 2009 Man, that's a lot of scanning and stitching for large format! Too bad it can't do justice to the detail at this scale. I like the soft grass in the water adjacent to the hard and austere rocks. Would love to see a large print. Link to comment

wogears 186 Posted September 27, 2009 Very well-done landscape. Twenty images with a wide-angle lens? I don't get the feel of a super-wide here, and I'm not sure why. And how do 20 images only add up to 70 Mpx? A scanned 4x5 chrome should give at least 15 Mpx (@800 spi). Bet a 40x60 print would look totally incredible! Link to comment
friedemann_pistorius 0 Posted February 6, 2013 First I guessed you had a DSLR camera body attached to a 4x5 stitching back, with the 90 mm lens in fixed position. But this doesn't explain the use of Velvia film. Or did you use film for the original picture and then digitalized the image with 20 high res. "macro" shots? Shed some light on this...Great image, by the way :-) East or West coast? Link to comment
