Fluke? *Please Critiuqe* This was shot last summer 2001 in South East Alaska

Great shot ! I've been fortunate to see whales quite a few times, but I've never had my camera handy. This is a unique shot ... different from the ordinary. The coloring is nice as well.

ok... that's the real issue in photography, just be there... u were and that gave us such wonderful shot.

This was shot with a old Kodak DCS410 with a Nikon 600/4 hand held

off the front of a boat last summer.

Top class work - from the toning to the detail in the barnacles and droplets, to the timing. The blurred background serves to highlight the fluke, and I also appreciate the sheen. Yes, it's a very unusual composition - congratualations.
