chip phillips 0 Posted September 23, 2009 This is an image I took on a short backpack to Second Beach on theOlympic Coast of Washington State. I found this intriguing sandchannel where the tide was coming in slowly. I used a wide angle lensto add depth, and a slow shutter speed to show motion created by thepassing sea foam. Thanks for looking. Chip Link to comment
susanlloyd 0 Posted September 23, 2009 Chip, this is just gorgeous. I think you handled this opportunity beautifully! Love the motion of the tide and these soft colors are just fantastic. Very inspiring! I also like how the water is leading us into the image and then back out again...just like the tide. Well done! Link to comment

ndj 0 Posted September 23, 2009 Beautiful image Chip. Excellent composition, superb depth, and lovely, soft lighting. The long shutterspeed was a good choice, as the long streaks added by the passing sea foam really add to the image. Nicely done. All the best,Neil Link to comment

jcongleton 0 Posted September 25, 2009 Beautiful photo: great depth, color and texture. The rock at (hate to say it, don't care much for 'rules' of composition) 1/3 horizontal and 1/3 vertical provides a nice contrast to the otherwise largely mid-range tones. Link to comment
tanni_thai 0 Posted September 25, 2009 A Beautiful image all around. I love the composition, the color formations, the textures in the sand as well as the soft water flow. Everything just works so well and blended nicely together. An excellent capture indeed. Thanks for sharing :) Link to comment
