GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted September 22, 2009 It indeed looks like a lovely spot Linda and you've captured it's beauty so well. I wish we had places this dramatic in Southern Ontario. Great detail, light and comp......well presented within the frame........ congrats, GAil Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted September 22, 2009 Thank you. We really do live in one of the most beautiful places on the planet, the weather is great too. I feel so fortunate to be living here. I do worry about the destruction of the forests by Pine Beetle and forest fires. It is getting hard to find a place that hasn't been affected. Best wishes, Linda Link to comment
jtipton 0 Posted September 22, 2009 Spectacular landscape Linda. Guessing this is interior BC? The clouds in the background are a nice balance. Best wishes-Jim Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted September 22, 2009 Thank you both for visiting and commenting. Jim, yes it is interior BC. This is in the Thompson/Nicloa region which is not particulary famous for it's beauty, has few tourists and little development. Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted September 25, 2009 A somber beauty here. Pretty with a sad afterthought. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted September 25, 2009 You are peceptive, you must have picked up on the sadness that comes from all the dead Ponderosa Pine that aren't in the frame. You can see the top of a twisted skeleton next to a young green pine in the lower right area of the lake. I try to keep them out of my photos. I want to remember how these places looked before they were ravaged by the Pine Beetle. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 25, 2009 I like the juxtaposition of the more dried and barren foreground with the richer, bluer, water and hills. Thought there is an echo of the dryness in the sunlit land in the background which nicely ties the scene together. You've captured the sense of the shelter of a cove really nicely. Link to comment
