jerrymat 5 Posted September 19, 2009 I have never had the opportunity to image this kind of subject so I may not know what I am talking about. What seems to me to make such images memorable is to capture the textures of the two different sides. Here I see no texture on the bright side and the dark side has some texture that drops into deep black. I suspect this kind of subject would be easier to capture on film, due to its greater range, than on digital. If this was done in Photo Raw, it might be worth manipulating the contrasts in the computer to see what changes could be made. Regards, Jerry Link to comment
luis.miro 0 Posted September 20, 2009 Wonderful shot Brad! The idea, the shapes and the textures perform an abstract image that attracts our eyes. The b&w work increases the power of the composition. Kind regards, Luis Link to comment
jmarcraveau 0 Posted September 21, 2009 I really like this image. I like the pattern made with the light and the shadow. Very nice composition. Regards, Jean-Marc Link to comment
ramon-monegal 0 Posted September 21, 2009 I'm sorry, but I disagree with Jerry, as I think that is just this hardness of contrasts and shapes what makes this photo a piece of art. Well done, Brad! Best regards, Ramon. Link to comment
bradkim 8 Posted September 29, 2009 Thank you very much Jerry for your kind input! Your comment is very valid. I adjusted the shade a little bit, and re-posted the revised version. Link to comment
