Guest Guest Posted September 19, 2009 I am always amazed at the feather texture of parrots they seem to be waxed and hard. I think your image shows that real feeling of the feathers. I really love the soft focal approach with a narrow depth of field to bring the image to the front. In my early years we had very little chance to really change an image once we set the aperture, shutter speed and film iso... Now we can play with it in CS or other software. But there is no replacement for good camera skills something you show in this well captured image... Respect MJ Link to comment

whosecameraisforpix 0 Posted September 19, 2009 You are lucky to have such teeming wildlife in your backyard. I am limited to insects! Great shot Link to comment
blue-olympus 0 Posted September 19, 2009 To be able to film these in your back garden must be like living in Paradise. Although this is a beautiful shot it would be better IMHO showing the full length of the tail...just my opinion:-).....Regards and hope your fully recovered soon. Link to comment
birteragland 1 Posted September 19, 2009 The reason you do not see the full tail is because it was covered by leaves that were in front and therefore blurry, hence the crop like this...Thanks all for visiting. Link to comment
