amalsircar 2 Posted September 19, 2009 Len beautiful landscape. Very good composition, exposure and colors. The man crossing the river enhances the beauty of the image. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted September 19, 2009 Thanks for dropping by. The man in the middle of the river is fishing for Brown Trout. Could have titled this one "High Hopes". :-) Best, LM. Link to comment

LenMarriott 9 Posted September 20, 2009 Good of you to drop by. My 100mm macro is a great lens . Sharp & contrasty, it's a favourite of mine. Fine if you are into close ups as well. :-) The new bio photo is courtesy of my 6 yr. old grandson. He always brings a smile to my face. Best, LM. Link to comment
christineandrews 0 Posted September 21, 2009 Very lovely Len - the colours are beautiful - are you going to go back in two or three weeks when the leaves are peaking? Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted September 22, 2009 This one was actually taken in 2003 but to answer your question, maybe. It does look like it has possibilities for around mid October. Fishing season will be over then so not much chance for a fisherman to accent the scene. Thanks for the suggestion. Best, LM. Link to comment
sallycd 0 Posted October 7, 2009 Hello Len... it always lifted my spirit viewing a scenery like this. The positive elements of life ... water, trees and colours. The human factor crossing the riverand that red colored tree at the bend. What a concept it brings to the viewer. The calmness and the solitude to name a few... Thanks! Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted October 7, 2009 I guess all those factors were influencing me that day. The fisherman was pure serendipity, a chance happening, icing on the cake, if you will. Without him it's just another pretty landscape. (plenty of them to go around) Thanks for your thoughts on this one. Best, LM. Link to comment

scottsmorra 0 Posted November 20, 2009 Len, Thanks for your recent feedback on one of my photos. As a fly fisherman myself, I really enjoyed this photo. I think the fisherman makes this photo something special. Link to comment
John Crowe 165 Posted November 21, 2009 Perhaps this gentleman is walking on water. Fall colours at peak would be awesome. This may sound sacriligious but you could always "clone" him into another image. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted November 21, 2009 Thanks for taking the time & effort to comment. Most appreciated. ".....Walking on water.....?" And perhaps he was a carpenter before taking up fishing! :-) Just my luck not to have thought of that when I came across this scene. Should have made some enquiries. Good idea about the cloning though I limit my digital manipulation to changes in contrast, colour, and sharpness. And removing the odd beer can from the image that went unnoticed at the time of exposure. Best, LM. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted November 23, 2009 Almost missed you there. Thanks for stopping by. Yah, this one should appeal to a fly fisherman. Just another pleasant snapshot without the fisherman. Even then it borders on being a cliche' but it's MY cliche'. :-) Best, LM. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted February 15, 2014 Like a scene from "River Wild", except without a psycho Kevin Bacon ;-)... Very well done and as has been noted a nice landscape made even better by the fisherman... Mike Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted February 15, 2014 It could be argued that the psycho was behind the lens. :-) Thanks for cruising through my 'oldies' to comment on this one. Best, LM. Link to comment
