timzeipekis 5 Posted September 16, 2009 First shot in a while, need to get my shutter finger back in shape. Love to hear your thoughts, thanks for looking! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 16, 2009 i really like this shot, and good d.o.f. the only thing might be a little cropping of the foreground, but good shot. Link to comment
chriss1 2 Posted September 16, 2009 I like the composition that includes long distance perspective as well as really small details of the road. The main theme is emphasized very good by using appropriate DoF, however too centered in my opinion. But overall, it is an excellent shot. Regards Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted September 17, 2009 A appreciate the honest critiques ,all I can give you is that it just felt right to me. I did in fact work with the foreground crop and tried different approaches. The original shot had more foreground in it, I decided to take some off, but couldn't bring myself to crop any closer to the leaf. As for the center placement, which I don't do that often, I felt the road leading slightly off center in the background helped prevent a static composition. Thanks guys for stopping by, don't be strangers. Honest reactions are rare and valuable! Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted September 17, 2009 Well, I like it because it's such a fresh and unique shot. A very common scene that most of us would just walk by and not see.... A good eye to see this and you presented it well... Mike Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted September 18, 2009 One of many making its way to the ground these days. But with one shutterclick, it became immortal. The greenery works very well against the gray of the road. Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted September 18, 2009 Thanks guys, can't wait for the leaves to turn. Michigan is absolutely beautiful in Autumn. Link to comment
rbanfield 0 Posted September 26, 2009 Great capture Tim. It would have been a whole nother photo of you shooting this one leaf. Sorry I missed it. I wouldn't crop anymore off the foreground either. I do envy you and being able to shoot the Fall colors from home. Not a whole lot of Fall colors in the desert...RAY Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted September 26, 2009 Thanks again Ray. You mean the cacti don't turn red and orange in Autumn? That's a shame! :) Link to comment
