bonnici 0 Posted October 9, 2009 I like the "Feel of film" on this portrait. If I had to guess, this is a Kodak Porta VC160 Link to comment
francoisspenard 0 Posted October 10, 2009 Classic shot, but then again the best kind of shot as they show what we truly are, very good photo! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 10, 2009 Stefka, Tanya is a beautiful girl. You have focused very well on her eyes. She has very good eye contact with the camera (viewer). Her expression is very pleasant. Her make-up is nicely applied. I like the specular highlights on her lips and fingernails. The background is out of focus and neutral -- good. Her pose is natural looking. Her catch lights are good. I love her blue/green eyes. The colors in the photograph are well integrated. I wish her right arm wasn't showing next to her hand. Her hand is lighter than her face. My eyes keep going to her hand because it is the lightest area in the photograph. I would tone it down a little. It might be a good idea to soften her face just a bit to smooth out her complexion. You could move Tanya a little to her right. You want to compositionally balance the left and right sides of the photograph. The compositional "rule" for this suggests that you position the tip of the subject's nose in the vertical center of the photograph. I'm not sure I like parts of Tanya out of focus. This may very well be nothing more than personal preference, but I like all of a subject in focus. The background out of focus, but the subject in focus. Parts of the subject out of focus draws my attention away from the face, not to it. Nice shot, Mark Link to comment
