Not Here 93 Posted September 14, 2009 Dick... I like the dark, saturated background in this shot and the composition is unique, but I think I prefer the more classic presentation of #1. Wow, the 18-200mm continues to amaze me, considering it's pedigree... Have a great week... Mike Link to comment
krpradu 125 Posted September 14, 2009 Usualy I prefer dark bg that in my opinion show better main subject and create a strong composition,so I like tis one, best regards Radu. Link to comment
GerrySiegel 868 Posted September 14, 2009 Simple. Strong. Effective presentation of a perfect blossom at its elegant peak of attraction to the pollinators too. gs Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted September 15, 2009 Thank you all for the very kind comments! It's hard to pass up these flowers, especially when they are highlighted by the sun. Mike, I'm still glad that I have my 18-200 as a general purpose lens...no matter how many trash it in the forum discussions. Like all of our equipment, it has it's sweet spots and it's limitations. Have a good day! Dick Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted September 17, 2009 I missed #1, so I'll have to check it out before offering a comparison, but I do really like this one. Deep rich color and very sharp! Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted October 7, 2009 Beautiful capture. I love the downward perspective, and the rich clean tones. Nice work, Richard. Link to comment
