AlainD 0 Posted September 13, 2009 There's also a color version of this picture in my portfolio. Any preference ? Thanks for your ratings, comments and critics... Link to comment
david_l._forney 0 Posted September 14, 2009 Alain, Of these two images, I prefer the B&W, although both images are absolutely wonderful. Nice depth, nice tones, nice composition and delightful child. Beautiful image. David Link to comment
AlainD 0 Posted September 15, 2009 David and Razvan : thanks for your kind words. My preference also strongly goes to this one. Some of my relatives don't like it too much though, prefering from far the colored version. Very subjective... Best regards, Alain Link to comment
mark_starr 0 Posted February 7, 2010 This is just fantastic - the type of portrait I dream about having taken. The model is, of course, charming in every way, but your black and white rendition of her is spot-on. I love the way she is leaning on the basket-like object, and the expression as she slightly twists her mouth, but her direct gaze and dark eyes really add a punch that stuns the viewer. The warmth of the image and the texture of the background couldn't be better. I am jealous... Very, very nice, and a great addition to all of your other wonderful portraits - I am glad I came back to see what you have added to your portfolio- Mark Link to comment

drhimages 0 Posted February 25, 2014 This is so wonderful, Alain. I love both...b/w and color. The b/w is done so perfectly, i.e., tones and contrast. Beautiful in every way!!! Link to comment
