David-Wisse 5 Posted September 9, 2009 Thanks very much Michael and Gallego. Mike, the pup is not mine - but I was oh so tempted! If I wasn't up to my eyeballs in dogs already, he might have come home with me. Best, David Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted September 9, 2009 What a gorgeous dog! This is a wonderful portrait, the detail is amazing. I could fall in love with those eyes. I love the expression. When I photograph dogs I put a peice of cheese, or a treat on top of my head, and I get a similar, focused stare. I wonder if you used the same "technique" here? Warm regards, Linda Link to comment
kovic 0 Posted September 10, 2009 Great capture David! Love the expression! I keep going back to it, I love looking at it! Bravo! diane Link to comment
David-Wisse 5 Posted September 10, 2009 Hi Linda - Thanks very much for your kind words and rating. This pup was mesmerized by the camera - no cheese required! I love this age in puppies - everything is new, and potentially something to eat or play with. Best, David Link to comment
david_l._forney 0 Posted September 10, 2009 Very nice portrait, David. Clear, clean, wonderful DOF and beautiful colors. David Link to comment
David-Wisse 5 Posted September 10, 2009 Thank you Diane, Ricardo, and David. Your visits and comments are much appreciated. Diane - everytime I look at this photo myself I regret that I have no room for more dogs! Best, David Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 3 Posted September 11, 2009 Beautiful portrait as always David! Oh, those eyes...future heart breaker I am sure! Very well done! :) Link to comment
wogears 186 Posted September 12, 2009 Good dog portrait. Nice expression and plenty of Ear. I don't much like the Fastex buckle, but a fine job otherwise. Link to comment
David-Wisse 5 Posted September 12, 2009 Thanks for stopping by Les - and for your comments. Yes, the pup has a bit of growing to do in order to catch up to those ears. I would agree with you on the collar - prefer simple leather ones myself, (the pup is not mine), or none at all. Regards, David Link to comment
photo by patsy dunn 1 Posted September 12, 2009 David, Another great portrait. I bet when you pick up your camera your dogs start posing. Great image. Regards, Patsy Link to comment
David-Wisse 5 Posted September 13, 2009 Hi Patsy - Thank you very much. As far as posing for me, it's more like "oh no - run and hide, he's got that black thing pointing at us again!" Best, David Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted September 19, 2009 David, gosh I love looking at these images you post! I can tell this guy is all dog and innocence. Wonderful capture. Link to comment
David-Wisse 5 Posted September 19, 2009 Thanks very much Liz - this little guy was quite the charmer, and seemed to love the camera. Best, David Link to comment
jrickert 0 Posted January 23, 2010 How cute. How did you keep his attention? I still haven't been back in the studio with my two dogs. I am afraid that they will knock over the umbrella lights. When I finally do, you will see the results :) Link to comment
David-Wisse 5 Posted January 24, 2010 The world was still very new to this pup - it didn't take much to arouse his curiosity, but his short attention span meant I had to be quick on the shutter! Thanks for your comment, David Link to comment
