Blacksmith

very nice shot, but I find the arm distracting. i would either make the rest of it black and white or the rest of it in color. otherwise well framed and nice choice on what to desatuarate and what to keep in color.

It is possible that the entire arm is already in color and the soot is the black I am seeing. In that case I think you need to bring the color out a little more on the top of the arm to bring it more in balance with the rest.

Again...this may be just being picky but I think it will really improve the shot.

Good photo, but I would agree that the image needs to be monochrome or color. In my case, I noticed it with the side of the face and the back of the neck first; the technique was a little distracting. The photo would be better in monochrome all the way, or in color.

You don't need any fancy tricks for this one. You've got the photo of a blacksmith.
