Grand Anna Hotel

The first Anna ball was hold in the Horvath villa in 1825, and the

location moved to the hotel on the opposite side of the street, built

in 1786, with the big restaurant from 1748. The classicistic building

dates from 1802-1848 and has a covered promenade. The first Anna ball

(Annabál) is a society event for which the Balatonfüred resort is

renowned. The first ball was organised by János Horváth in the honour

of his daughter Anna Krisztina. It became tradition and in 2005 it

took place for the 180s time. The ball is accompanied by a beauty contest.
