Blaha Luiza villa

The villa of the actress Blaha Luiza is dated 1816. The building

belonged to the actress Luiza Blaha between 1893-1916 as we read on

the frontispiece. This single storey building in classicistic style,

with a central portico, with entablature, is today a hotel. On the

frontispiece it is written “Ez volt a nemzet csalogányának

legkedvesebb fészke”, meaning “this was the most beloved nest of the

nightingale of the nation”. After the renovation of the centre it was

foreseen with a link to the public space through a terrace. The villa

of the actress Blaha Luiza and the Round Church form together an urban

assembly.
