ryourth 0 Posted September 6, 2009 A wonderfull image with superior processing. Like how the slight unsharpness creates a sense of mystery & isolation, especially how the footsteps disappear between the opening in the trees. Finally, one tree refusing to discard the last of its fall foliage adds a nice touch to your fine image,do not go gently into the night.. Regards-Ross. PS one or two years ago your image would have been rated in the high 5's or 6's.Am continually being surprised & disappointed by the low ratings being accorde to many fine images Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted September 7, 2009 Comments like yours are all I need, I've given up on the ratings thing a long time ago. As for the image, the soft focus look was a bit of an experiment for me, but it really seemed to fit how this image made me feel. I'm glad you like it and it's great to hear from you! Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted September 7, 2009 Tim... I guess it won't be long before you guys have this again.... Gorgeous shot and, like Ross, I really love the stubborn little tree hanging on to its leaves... very well composed... Mike Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted September 7, 2009 A little fire in the midst of snow. I like how life has lingered on. Link to comment
johnroberts 0 Posted September 8, 2009 I love the quality and the treatment in this image. I think the almost mono image counteracted by the gold of the leaves works beautifully. Super shot. Regards John Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted September 8, 2009 @ Michael - I can't wait to go stomping through the white stuff again! @ Jeff - Well put, as if this little fella didn't want to sleep through and miss it. @ John - Natural selective color, it was impossible to pass up. Link to comment
David-Wisse 5 Posted September 17, 2009 Lovely image Tim. Reminds me of Frost's poem - "Stopping by woods on a snowy evening". Well done. Link to comment
