Sarageaua,

She is a beautiful girl. You have focused very well on her eyes. I like her expression. It is not very expressive, but it is pleasant -- she seems to be concentrating on something that she likes.

The little rim light on her left side helps to separate her from the background. The background is nicely out of focus which allows us to focus our attention on her. Your depth of field is deep enough to have all the subject in focus. I like the split lighting, but I wish her right eye had enough light in it to provide a nice catch light. This would give more life to the portrait. She has a nice thin face that can easily take the broad lighting. It looks very good on her.

Her make-up is quite well applied, but she could use some mascara on her lower lashes and a little eyeliner under her eyes. Some lipgloss on her lips would make them look less dry. She really has a beautiful face -- wonderful features.

You could zoom back a bit. I think you have cropped too far into her head. Cropping into the head implies you are going to do a very tight crop on the bottom. You are pretty tight, but I still think it would look better with more of her head showing.

Her skin looks a bit to bronze. A little less warmth would look better. Her specular highlights are too bright. She almost looks like she is sweating. Tone back on those highlights.

Your subject should have more room in front of her than behind. This allows her to be facing into the picture, not out of it. You want to compositionally balance the left and right sides of the photograph. The compositional "rule" for this suggests that you position the tip of the subject's nose in the vertical center of the photograph.

Nice shot,

Mark
