Dear friend...Thnx alot for your visit and comment.

In the middle of the shot,is something that old generations used it for making tea!...These devices, originated from Russia and came from this country to my country and some others!...Before,they worked with coal and sometimes with oil and the peoples should made a fire and heat it until the water boiled!...Nowadays,these devices working with electricity and you should pour water in the stainless steel pot.(The same as kettle and pot for making tea).

I hope you enjoy the shot and thnx again!

Regards(Bobby).

this is a wonderful un-manipulated shot with marvelous composition and exposure... i have tweaked the upload in Picasa as follows: first i increased the Fill Light slider about mid-way finding that it brought out the beauty of the ceiling, the brick/tile work on the walls, threw some good light on the wooden panels, and also gave a pleasant tonal variation to the urn; then i auto-saturated the image to compensate for the loss of color caused by increasing the fill light; then i used the glow effect to soften the image and bring out the beauty of the colored glass, happily it also subdued the patterns one could spy through the glass panes which i feel were a distraction; finally i hit i'm feeling lucky... i hope you like it... (i have not done any retouching though i was sorely tempted to do so to get rid of the remainder of the blue patterns... and would have loved to add yellow to the top-left corner of the glass panel lower left)

bobby, very good image of your colorful cultural heritage. Admirable composition, control of light & exposure. I wish I could see more details of the 'samovar'. The Russians & Persians knew how to blend utility with beauty.
