Thank you very much for your frequent visits and kind words. Today is a prelude-to-Fall day - not a cloud in the sky, bright sunshine, a gentle breeze and a very pleasant temperature. This image is a left over from last year's Fall that I did not get a chance to display. Autumn is my favorite time of year and provides a whole ton of opportunities and it is too short for me. I am now preparing for a photographic and imminent road trip that will unfortunately take me away from PN for a while but my heart will be here.

Glad you liked it. Even though it has the gamut of fall colors - it is the green in this image that keeps drawing me in. I did not use a polarizer here because I wanted the highlight of the floating leaves to complete the upper end of the tonal range.

A magical scene indeed Tony. The saturation and repeating pattern of the green grasses work perfectly with the autumnal colours reflected in that section of still water. regards Clive

PS Thanks for your recent comment on my "Mausoleum of Aga Khan" shot

You can just feel the crystal clear fall sky above in this magnificent image! The colors are lovely, particularly the greens. Very nice.

Although the image is full of such beautiful color I tlhink and this is just my personal opinion there is too much going on colorwise. So I have to disagree with all the well deserved compliments. However if you took the green area in the background and cropped it so the grasses and their reflectons were showing I think you'd have a very strong reflective image as I see that as your focal point with everything else detracting from it. Please don't see this a criticism rather just a personal, subjective viewpoint because your work has always been very solid. Best regards, rek.

To all - I am on the road with the ocassional access to the internet. I appreciate all of the comments.

Richard I appreciate all comments and especially when one has suggestions - they are food for thought and also for learning. I am not sure exactly how you would crop it based on your description - just wondering if you could do me the favor of cropping and posting it for me. Thanks.

I am loving your road trip. You have captured so many beautiful scenes. This is especially beautiful with interesting shapes and patterns of reflections.
