You can tell that I was panning the bird because, apart from it's flapping wings, most of it is sharp but all else in the photo shows signs of camera motion. 1\250 sec. just doesn't cut it for some shots though I feel this one is dramatic enough that I can slide it past all but the most critical.....................I hope. :-) Best, LM.

I was panning with the owl using a moderate shutter speed.  Thus the slight blur of everything else.  Still, enough detail remains to see the expressions on the faces.  Fun day!  Thanks for your thoughts.  LM.
