Nice cut and pasting! Love the texture of the furrows leading to the brooding skyline and the weary figure trudging under the dead tree. One small nit, there seems to be a horizontal line just below the horizon where the furrows are not all lined up - a little careful cloning would soon put this right, and IMO would take this from a 6/6 to a 7/7. the cloud field at the end is very rewarding, the man, the tree and the moon are a strong group, the grey in the front, in focus, perhaps are a little strong, and don't transition well to the rear,

I love the way the light and shadows define the rows and the texture of the soil. A very interesting and dramatic image. Skillful cut and paste. Impressive work.

A brilliant work of B&W art! This has a real sense of drama, and mystery to it. Excellent composition, and superb exposure.

All the best,

Neil

I join the others,I like the angle and lines leading to the man, and vanishing point. It is a man in the univers drama. Very good light, BW and composition.

Hi Kevin, wonderful concept and a very dramatic image that looks great at first glance.

However, on taking a closer look there are several issues that I find a bit disconcerting...

i. I agree with an earlier commenter with respect to the obvious sharp and straight horizontal line towards the top-right corner of the image.

ii. Whilst the back of the figure is in complete shadow, whatever he's carrying is not.

iii. The light appears to be falling on the right side of the tree but the left side of the furrows.

iv. I'm not sure what the disc in the sky above the tree is meant to be.

v. I'm also wondering about the white lines on the furrows to the right of the frame.

As I say, a brilliant concept and I'm all for photo-art, but it might be worth addressing some of these issues to make it a really convincing and winning image.

Kind regards,

Chris
