Landrum Kelly 64 Posted August 31, 2009 I wouldn't worry about the clouds, since clouds in the Andes are common during the day. What would be nice would be to see more into the shadows. Almost no detail is visible in the shadows on the monitor I am using (which admittedly is not very good for photos--I am in my office right now). Perhaps better monitors are picking details out of the shadows pretty well. If not, you might try using less contrast. You might also try cropping 40% off the left and off the bottom, emphasizing the plateau section and the peaks above it, with only a bit of the steps going up to the plateau visible. --Lannie Link to comment

cphilpott 0 Posted August 31, 2009 I would crop the foreground and the left side to create a tighter shot on the ruins. The foreground element in shadows does not make the image stronger, rather, it pulls the eye down away from the desired focal point. Also, there is a bit of blue haze that could be corrected/balanced to improve the overall contrast and levels. Link to comment
