I'd like to see it, your abstract. You can post it right here. Yes, good friends. I have had this particular F4S for almost 19 years (not the viewfinder) and the Hasselblad 503CW (not the FCC) for 12 years. I cannot use the Hasselblads any longer (they function fine) so they are now table decorations. I considered buying your D3. I could have purchase a New D700 or a used D3 for about the same price. A bargin came along and so I have a D700. Thank you for looking and commenting.

thank you for the reply, adding me as interesting, and for the invitation.

I am regretting the buy of D3 ,it got no sensor cleaning mechanism, and this is my advice to any photographer used to use multiple lenses on the same camera frequently,Never Ever to buy a camera without sensor cleaning mechanism.

and what I have understands is that your D700 is lighter, little slower twin of D3,

here is my abstract about the D300,using D3.

If I did not have a Nikon I would not know the Abstact is a nikon. Nice work. . I find the built in flash on the D700 useful and prefer the built in over the my SB 28 because it is down low near to the lens and thus almost eleminates the shadow. I never owned a zoom so I too change lenses. I have owned a Fuji S2 Pro for about 6 years. It has no sensor cleaning. Once I got a speck of something on the sensor. I cleaned it myself. Since then I blow with my breath the back of the lens that I am putting on to remove dust. Maybe that has helped me. Missing features: The D700 does not have a receptor for a mechanical shutter release. The release cable for the 8008 does not fit (not manual). I cannot see the focus point in the LCD on top -have to look through the viewfinder to adjust offset focus. Its absence makes life difficult for me. I have one of my F4S almost 19 years. My D700 is not going to hold up for 19 years... but then neither am I.

Hi Meir,

It is always nice to see images of one of my collection cameras for Nikon. I have them dated back to the beginning.

Best Regards,  Mike

Mike, thanks for commenting. I don't go so far back. My first Nikon is an 8008 purchased in 1990 and I still use from time to time. The 4 Nikkor lenses which I purchased for the 8008 I use today on the D700.

System cameras of the level of Nikon F4 were in our dreams at the time! Now I find every camera good for something!

Best regards Meir!
