myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted August 20, 2009 Thank you for your kind comment. I regret not having use fill flash, i.e. eye socket shadow. Link to comment
raymondborg 0 Posted August 20, 2009 Beautiful model and great tones. The model seems to be confident with the camera. Congrats. Link to comment
colindoust 0 Posted August 22, 2009 It is very easy when we are composing to concentrate on the main subject and disregard others. Firstly do you think your image will be stronger if you place the subject not centered, perhaps using the rule of thirds to place her face? And what about if the horizon was actually horizontal, maybe then it will be less of a distraction from the main subject. Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted August 22, 2009 To both of you, thank you for looking.. Colin, you are correct about the horizon. Perhaps I was distracted. I attach a rotated version with the horizon corrected. Now she is tilted but not very noticable. As for the rule of thirds. i.e.....place the eyes on the 1/3 rule etc. I generally do not adhere stictly to that rule unless something else is there to fill the vacant space, above her head for example. Anyway It was a long time ago. Don't even know at that time if I ever heard about the rule of 1/3. Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted December 26, 2009 I'll try to answer: There was no color. (1) This was shot on Ilford BW film. (2) The reason I do not have a larger pixel post is because this (like others in this series) was just hanging out on my harddrive from long ago. The negatives and prints from all photos of the 90s are in storage in America. I have no access to them now..(3) are there others? yes in the "Some People America." Folder spread around.. I left links to most of them as you asked after your other comment on Family at the Beach. (4) On the nude beach was it hard to get a model? I had permission to photograph and after awhile people got used to me. Alysa was from Atlanta. She was with her boyfriend. She agreed to be photographed. A model release in exchange for prints. I saw her only that one time. I mailed the prints to her home in Atlanta. (5) The towel was my idea from something I had seen recently in Vogue. Link to comment
