bruckner 502 Posted September 26, 2009 One of Cariboo's rodeos held in the interior of BC each summer. Theimage was cropped from original. Thank you for viewing and critique. Link to comment
Wayne Melia 5,969 Posted September 27, 2009 Excellent. Particularly appreciate how the POV in relation to the light isolates the subject from the background, and provides form to both the subject and the ground. The timing is, of course right on, as is the framing/cropping. Having shot a few rodeos myself, I know how it is not easy to get all this in the midst of the action, and the restrictions on shooting location around the arena. Well done. Link to comment
lizroche 0 Posted September 28, 2009 Wow, great shot George. There are so many things I like about this shot - DOF, shutter speed, the hat on the ground, the texture of the horse's mane and of course, the expression of the rider. One very small thing, I would get rid of the brown horizontal line towards the top of the picture as I find it distracting. Well done! Link to comment
bruckner 502 Posted September 29, 2009 Thanks Liz, I know I do find it distracting myself, but I never got around in toning it down. Link to comment
reallife 1 Posted December 15, 2016 You have done an excellent job in expressing the pain, fear and horror the horse is feeling. Could be used as an advert to have rodeos banned. Link to comment
