Hi Liz - I think this is a very brave compositon - high in originality. My eyes keep flickering from the hair to the beach - almost like trying to see around her. There is also the mystery of what her face might look like. The hair itself is beautiful - with the strands coming together so nicely at the hair band.

All in all a sucessful image I think that grabs and holds the viewers attention. I would be interested in your own thoughts on the composition - and what drew you to make the photograph.

Best, David

Thank you for your comment, David.

I liked this shot because my daughter's hair had changed color from a week in the sun, and it was a really different look for her. She had no idea I was behind her while she watched the beach.

A very creative composition and very key for me, are those two distant figures on the left side. best regards,

What a splendid idea for a shot. The textures and clarity are well produced...love the red hair-tie and the couple to the left.....Regards

Simplicity turned into something very original and interesting. Great shot with great sharp details in the hair, fine true colours and a very effective light. Take good care Liz and all the best from Jannica

Very good composition. love the sharpness of her hair against the two blurred persons down the beach. the latter with the fact that her face is not visible makes one long for more... that's where the composition succeeds. compliments -koushik

I like this a lot. I like the variety of colors in the girl's hair and how the lighter streaks draw my eye to the scrunchee. It's such a classic summer kind of image too. Nice work. The only complaint I have is that I'd like to see more of the beach on the left of the picture and maybe an additional inch or two of her neck.

This is one of my favorites of all of your excellent photos! I keep coming back to this one and don't know why I have never commented before! I just love this image...her hair first of all is beautiful and I love the way the waves in her hair echo the waves of the beach in the background. I also love that the predominant color in this image is her hair and the pink hair band which then brings out the very faint colors of the clothing on the people she is watching. This image stirs the imagination and makes me want to know more. A very good idea executed very well! Thank you so much for sharing. :)
