Female Sperm

 

Simple but hopefully appealing.

Appealing, yes. And interesting.

 

What makes this interesting to me is this. You use beautiful women in a lot of your work. You use full frontal nudity, but sometimes hide the woman's identity by cropping off the head.

 

In this one, you've concentrated on the face, but still obscured her identity. There can be no doubt that she's beautiful, but we wonder who she is.

 

Her hand forms the shape associated with shadow puppets from childhood, but I don't know what that signifies, so it adds to the enigmatic nature of the photograph, while adding a bit of fun to it.

 

It's your usual fine colour work...the colour jumps out of the frame...but this is another one I'd have preferred in black and white, which I feel would add to the enigmatic nature of the shot.

 

But still...extremely well done.

I like this photograph very much. The yellow clothing is a nice compliment to her skin tones and the pink lipstick. Covering her eyes is unusual in a portrait but it is effective here. I also like the position of her hand and how you kept just enough of her arm.

Jim, What a wonderful comment. You are right in so much of what you say. Interestingly enough I will probably upload another picture of this lovely lady later and all will be revealed. You might not like it though as it will be in colour. On that subject, this is one that I didn't convert to look at in black and white before uploading it. I am really not sure why. Even with comment persuading me to have a look, I will hold of for now. Thanks a lot.

 

Mark, Kind words. Thanks for them. The title is a little far fetched. I was going to upload another picture where the title would have made more sense but the image wasn't so good. I decided to keep the title. Strange! I know but that's me.

It isn't that I don't like colour...you're one of the best at it...it's just that I believe certain photographs would have more impact in black and white, that's all.

A very accomplished work, this. I differ from the consensus, this photo HAS to be in color. Thanks for showing this David!

here dear David, I do not understand your concept? female sperm? well as a woman I am wondering what in you male had means this "female sperm" ?? never heard of such term! explain it to me, as I see you have only male public under your photos of nude women that you are exploring so much for no reason just show off ;)

I cannot feel the beauty of your ladies, yes in general they are beautiful, but they are more like dolls to me, as you represented them like objects and no sensuality nor femininity at all! but now, as I grow like human being, like woman and like photographer, I see more clearly that you Man have no notion how to represent a beautiful sensual woman... or you want them to be like that! just a sexual object!!

 

please explain why are you using female so called beauty, but especially nudity in your work, as they are all photographes in a sterile studio, with sterile light and no emotions!!???

Thanks for taking the time to write a lengthy comment on this image. I often say, if you have to explain a photograph then you have failed. Had you seen this image without the title, what would have thought about it?

 

It is not just males that comment on my photographs. That said, I do believe there are more males contributing photographs of women to this site and as most men like women, it is natural that more men comment on photos of women than women.

 

Anyone posting any picture of any subject in a public forum is showing of. That includes you.

 

You cannot feel the beauty of my ladies. Is that my failing or yours? Judging from your comment referring to my women, "as you represented them like objects and no sensuality nor femininity at all! " well I do believe you fail here too as I see this particular image with a lot of femininity and sensuality. I do feel sorry that you can't see it.

Please do not answer that. I do not wish to get into a debate with you. You are entitled to your opinion. Whether I agree with it or not is neither here nor there. However, maybe, just maybe and I do mean MAYBE I am not trying to represent a beautiful sensual woman. However, I do believe there will be others that disagree with you.

 

The photographs I post here are for people to comment and critique. If people do not like my images then so be it. I am certainly under no obligation to explain them especially to someone who simply doesn't care.

I am a woman, and on your photo is a Woman! I am not going to thing about the title, but why did you give such title? I really do not understand that title, nor this posing of your model? As for your title, I can see that she is wearing something like a condom on her head, and the end in her hand is the top of the condom? she is hiding behind a safe sex? is that your message here?

 

sorry, I do care and I did try to understand it, but .... I do not see anything special here, except a nice model and a good quality of photograph in light and technics! but no emotions for me!

I can see some hot photos in your folders, and some kind of sexy, but no sensuality, no sensibility ... sorry, but this is how I see, that is why also, you commented my photographs who are not like yours, not technically perfect, made in low light conditions of some rooms not a studio ... etc ...

 

and I do care! even more than you about the Woman and our Beauty! but yes, we are all here to Show Off ;)

 

and Yes, everybody have the right to say whatever they think of your photographs... so I said my word here too ;) all to contribute to a better and more beautiful portraits of Women!

 

So, you are going still to photograph your Models as Objects, me, I am looking for the Soul of my Models/Friends!

 

Maybe the only difference between us, is that I am looking to portrait the emotions within the woman, and you are more focused on the woman Body, as all Men do!

 

Be well and try to find some emotions and sensuality and femininity in your Models ;)

Thanks for coming back and giving more words. The tone of your second comment here is slightly more appealing than your first comment. However, I do believe you are under some illusion. Any photograph of any subject is just that. You are kidding yourself if you believe that you capture sensuality in your own images. You do not! You capture what is there in front of you. If you want to believe that there is something more in your photographs that is up to you.

 

For the record, I do believe this image to have some sensuality in it but that is only my belief.

 

Your comments are accompanied by statements that you are a woman. I find this very frustrating. It would be an interesting experiment to remove the identities of everyone on this site and for you to tell me which pictures of women were shot by women. Your comment(s) here suggest to me that you have many issues reagarding men. (Your comment... 'all men do' speaks volumes.)

 

As to this image. I have said all I want to. The title is irrelevant although a little thought went into it.

 

For the record, the model in this image features in other photographs in my portfolio. I have only met her once. We spent a few hours together taking photographs. She was happy with the outcome. I am sure she will be as disappointed as me that you don't care for this image.

I can agree with you on the illusion, but ... here we have no illusion at all in all your photos, this is what you see, but some photos give us some illusion that we develop later in our minds... and even here, the illusion is in our mind ...

 

I like your idea for anonymous posting of women s acts and bodies, and stay assure that I would recognize the photographs made by woman photographer ;) cause I can feel something other within women photography... well it is a long story ...I also would like to point it out, that for me, the photography has no sex, meaning that it does not matter if it is a woman or man the photographer... well... we can argue on this subject for a long time, but wont take your precious time...

 

I have no bigger issue with Men, except they are always criticizing my work because as of the lack of the technical parts, but I do not care about technics and sharpness in my photography,,,, but this is another story ... for the rest, I have no problems with Men ;))) even I can see they love my Photography ;)))

 

But.. we have to admit that they are different style in photography, so you have yours, I have mine and that is it! simply as that ;)

 

In brief that is all, I just love the Photography ...
