jill_bingham 0 Posted August 14, 2009 Ha! First to comment for once. LOL I really like your sandpiper I love these birds. they are so small and fast how did you capture this one I really like you perspective on this little guy. I can not get over how beautiful the feathers are. Were you lying down? Must have been sandy. Great work Leslie. P.S. has summer arrived finally on the East Coast? Jill Link to comment

lesliejbng 0 Posted August 14, 2009 Thank you both for your kind comments. =) Jill - As you know Taylor got her cast off and I promised a swim immediately after the cast came off. We went to a local pond and it was empty, she had the whole beach to herself.......although this little guy was hopping up and down the beach. I had to take the camera away as I thought he was going to hop right on my foot! I guess he got comfortable around me!!! Lucky me!!! Caught a few of some American Black Ducks also! Glad you got to comment first Sissy ;) Best regards, Leslie Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted August 14, 2009 Lovely image - the good lord knows how difficult to get good images of birds. I tried to get some on my recent vacation and only had some limited success with one bird. All the best, Link to comment

jtipton 0 Posted August 15, 2009 Hi Leslie- Where do I start? I like saying that, it sounds so dramatic. Great shot. I like the clarity and the exposure. That white under belly could have gotten away from you considering the light and I think you did a nice job with it. Also the tones and colors. Greetings and warm regards-Jim Link to comment
stemked 4 Posted August 15, 2009 Greenish legs. I *think* this is a Least Sandpiper. These little peeps are hard to id. Great shot Link to comment
