Apurva Madia 0 Posted August 13, 2009 Excellent picture. Very sharp and nicely composed. A little less saturation, especially on the skin tones may look even better. Link to comment
igorbasking 0 Posted August 13, 2009 Very good sharpness and sun light. Did you used only flash or another Light Source ? Link to comment
suspendedmoments 0 Posted August 13, 2009 Two answer two issues... I didn't use any color saturation... but I suppose could diffuse the color in pp.. it that's necessary, but sort of ruins the point of a great sunset? Second.. for aux lighting, yes, I had two off camera SB-900's kicking.... Thanks! Frederick Link to comment

aarkp 2 Posted August 17, 2009 i don't know about the saturation... i like the skin tones of her chest, shoulders, face, hand...her right leg seems too evenly lit for my taste... seems un-natural in this beautiful natural setting... ditto for the sandy verge... i like the top half and would halve the crop... just my opinion Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 18, 2009 When I shoot sunrise or sunset portraits like this, I bounce a Sunpak 544 into a white square umbrella, about 30 degrees off camera (short or long lighting at your discretion for the subject) which gives a much softer light and no hard shadows. You still get great separation from the background but the light has a much less harsh quality to it. Love the pose and composition though! Link to comment
