Christal1664882414 0 Posted August 13, 2009 Well, I'm feeling really happy right now. I almost didn't submit this, so I'm really pleased to get such glowing comments from 4 such distinguished photographers! ---Sonali, I'm always pleased when a person I haven't 'met' comments on my work, especially when they are as talented as you are. I took a quick look at your work and look forward to spending more time there soon. ---Mike, you'd think it would fill up quickly, eh? (That's my new phrase thanks to my Canadian son-in-law) :-) You wouldn't believe how the wind whips around in here....blowing the sand every which way....it plays havoc with the cameras! But then the rain comes and washes through the canyon cleaning out everything in its path. In fact, they won't take tours into these canyons when there is a chance of rain because it can be suicide. But it's those torrential currents that are responsible for carving these magnificent formations. Thanks for stopping by! ---Radu, It is high praise when someone of your amazing skills likes my work. Thank you for your generous comments. ---Ifti....it's always a pleasure to hear from you, and thank you for your kind comments. Link to comment

jtipton 0 Posted August 13, 2009 Oh Christal- This is a bases loaded home run. Very nice work. The little drift of sand really separates this. Great job my friend. A deserving 7/7 from me. Best wishes-Jim Link to comment
rogerleekam 0 Posted August 14, 2009 Christal, a lovely image with both hard and subtle areas in almost equal proportions. The flowing sand as a central focus is inspired. Brilliant! Link to comment
ndj 0 Posted August 15, 2009 Fabulous shot Christal! I think this is my favorite of the series thus far. The flowing sand, excellent detail, and lovely light all play a part. All the best,Neil Link to comment

pfranklin 0 Posted August 16, 2009 This is my personal favorite in the series. In spite of the harsh light you have managed control with your camera. It appears that this might have been the hardest one to get a good shot of. The sand fall is what really makes this a most original image. Nicely done my friend All the best, Pamela btw; did you make it to the PNW? Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted August 16, 2009 I appreciate your taking the time to comment on this. Thank you both.....and Pamela, I've emailed you about the PNW. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 27, 2011 The flowing sand along with the soft light falling on the sand makes this most artistic photo. Excellent capture. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted April 28, 2012 Wonderfully captured. One day I will visit here and I wonder if I will be able to produce one as good as this. Link to comment
