Excellent composition and centering of the image. The device piques our interest and curiosity. Also the light gradient from left to right makes for a beautiful black and white photograph.

Thank You! I'm assuming your choice is a over b and c, that you think this is compositionally the best.

The lady is sitting in the front verandah of the main building of Sabarmati

Ashram founded by Mahatma Gandhi. She is spinning cotton yarn on a

Briefcase Charkha. The device lying to her right, with the spoked double

wheel) is a working replica of the kind of Charkha Gandhi would have

used.

He used the Charkha to communicate many facets of his philosophy --

dignity of labor, self-reliance, simplicity, communal living. The Charkha

eventually became a symbol of the non-violent struggle for independence

from the colonial power.

Rajat, very good composition and choice of tone. Your introductory note will help viewers what this 'charka' means and a symbol of Non-violence movement in India.

Rajat, This is a very nice photograph with a very impressive meaning behind it. The composition is excellent, which I especially like. Nicely done. Wanted to include a 7 for originality, but could not. I'll come back some other time and change it. David

Wonderful. I visited the Sabarmati Ashram in January this year, and here is a similar image - though the bigger charkha was not there when I visited. Thanks and regards.
