Glad you like it - always trying to present something a little different - sometimes I succeed and other times I don't.

Tony - Stunning - More than just a photo, real work of art. Possibly my monitor, but it looks like you have lost some detail in the center of the flower with the under exposure?

A R - thanks for your kind words.

Sumon - your input is appreciated.

Harry - that red channel got overloaded and with a bit of processing, i should be able to bring back those details. Faced with time constraints and heavy midday sun, I dipped into a 'cook book' to see if something else other than 'correct exposure' would do the trick. Thanks for spotting that.

Doc - thanks for your input.

Forgot to mention that i also used a circular polarizer - Kind regards to all who left comments and also to those who rated.

Wow! What an eyecatcher! It looks like it's made out of gold leaf with a fire in the center. Great idea and very nicely executed. Thanks for sharing, Tony!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I am happy to share and that is easier since I am not earning my 'daily bread' from photography. That allows me more freedom to try stuff and express myself visually for the pure joy of doing it. I am still looking forward to meeting you in Alaska as discussed but unfortunately a little medical issue needs to be cleared up before I head out to your part of the world. All the very best,

I do appreciate your frequent visits - thanks for your input. I am pleasantly surprised that the number of views for this image is in the thousands when most of my images are significantly less. Best regards,

I am late to the party and not much more to add except that I must try an under exposure in the future if it will lead to golden results like this.

Keith - thanks.

Dror - thanks - it was not a complete surprise. Sometimes I play with my 5-shot 1EV auto bracket just in case I need to do an HDR and some of the under-exposed shots appealed to me - not often but sometimes.

Bella - I do appreciate your input.

Liz thanks for your input.
