David-Wisse 5 Posted August 11, 2009 Looking for a free lunch? :-) My dogs will try this as well, but never seem to actually catch one . . . Link to comment
hansdans 0 Posted August 12, 2009 It is in the Nova Scotia retriever's genes to be able to dive. Some dogs you have to teach a bit some can do that naturally. Tapsu is a born diver and as I am keen fisherman myself he has been participating to all forms of fishing and knows a lot about the topic:) He is able to catch small fishes when swimming - but brings them to me first. But for all catches he gets a reward of course:) BR Hannu Link to comment
David-Wisse 5 Posted August 12, 2009 I would love to watch Tapsu fish and dive - what a talented dog, (and very good looking too). Best, David Link to comment
hansdans 0 Posted August 13, 2009 He is up to the task every time. I give credit to Him(like for the good looks:) as a flock member- and till now he does not stop astonishing me with his intellect and interest, which has proven to be fine (under gentle and logical guidance-of course:)) There is a photo "Catch a fish and bring it to a best friend" under the "babies and people" section, but getting a true underwater photo is beyond my gears and skills in these dark waters. I look through the vast library and see if there is some low water fishing photos:) BR Hannu Link to comment
